Transport properties of fermionic systems

چکیده
We extend the method discovered by A Y Alekseev et al [1] to the case of fermions in external fields. A general formula for conductance G is proved. In the (1+1)-D case with symmetry at time reflection, it is shown that: G = e2/h +o ( α2 ) , where α is the strength of the external field. In (3+1)-D free case, it is checked that G = ne2/h, where n is the number of the filled energetic bands of the transversal quantization.

Spin-polarized transport through a zigzag-edge graphene flake embedded between two armchair nanoribbons electrodes
We study the coherent spin-polarized transport through a zigzag-edge graphene flake (ZGF), using Hubbard model in the nearest neighbor approximation within the framework of the Green function’s technique and Landauer formalism. The system considered consists of electrode/ (ZGF)/electrode, in which the electrodes are chosen to be armchair nanoribbons. The study was performed for two types of ele...
متن کاملT > 0 transport properties in integrable quantum lattice systems
We show that a generalized charge SU(2) symmetry of the one-dimensional (1D) Hubbard model in an infinitesimal flux φ generates half-filling states from metallic states which lead to a finite charge stiffness D(T ) at finite temperature T , whose T dependence we study. Our results are of general nature for many integrable quantum lattice systems, reveal the microscopic mechanisms behind their e...
متن کاملFermionic transport and out-of-equilibrium dynamics in a homogeneous Hubbard model with ultracold atoms
Transport properties are among the defining characteristics of many important phases in condensed-matter physics. In the presence of strong correlations they are difficult to predict, even for model systems such as the Hubbard model. In real materials, additional complications arise owing to impurities, lattice defects or multi-band effects. Ultracold atoms in contrast offer the possibility to ...

The fermion sign problem is studied in the path integral formalism. The standard picture of Fermi liquids is first critically analyzed, pointing out some of its rather peculiar properties. The insightful work of Ceperley in constructing fermionic path integrals in terms of constrained world-lines is then reviewed. In this representation, the minus signs associated with Fermi-Dirac statistics a...
متن کاملElectronic transport in Si and Au monoatomic chains considering strongly correlation effect, a first principle study
We have investigated structure and electronic properties of Au and Si liner chains using the firstprinciplesplane wave pseudopotential method. The transport properties and conductance of these twoliner chains are studied using Landauer approaches based on density functional theory (DFT). Weobtain density of states and band gap using Kohn-Sham and Wannier functions as well as quantumconductivity...
متن کاملCoherent transport and dynamical entropy for Fermionic systems
This paper consists in two parts. First we set up a general scheme of local traps in an homogeneous deterministic quantum system. The current of particles caught by the trap is linked to the dynamical behaviour of the trap states. In this way, transport properties in an homogeneous system are related to spectral properties of a coherent dynamics. Next we apply the scheme to a system of Fermions...
